Newborough Teacher Training Institute hosts several events and training opportunities every year. Our professional development workshops are open to everyone; certified teachers, parents, ECEs, classroom assistants, and anyone who wants to know about Montessori education. Some topics include Montessori Curriculum Areas, Music and Movement, and Art and Craft Lesson Planning. If you are interested in a specific topic, please let us know so that we can offer educational experiences that ar meaningful to our participants. Please check individual events for attendance information.

Material Makng Workshop Part 1

July 12 & 13

As teachers, material making is part of what we do to enhance our teaching environment and stimulate the child’s learning experience.

At this workshop, best practices for material making will be discussed. Explanations of how to create materials, discussing tools, paper products, cutting and laminating techniques, and much more.

Participants will create 5 activities to take home.

Montessori EC Assistant/Refresher Summer Workshop
August 9, 10, 16, 17, 23, 24, 30

This 7 day (weekends, Sturday & Sunday) workshop will provide a complete overview of the typical Montessori curriculum for Casa level (2 1/2-6 years old) children. This is a hands-on opportunity to learn how to use and present the materials, or refresh your skills. During NTTI’s Workshop, the adults attending gain an understanding of the Montessori philosophy, and the purpose and use of the Montessori materials in each of the five areas of the
Montessori curriculum.

Applicants attending the full workshop (7days, 45 hours) will receive a Montessori EC Assistant Certificate from Newborough Teacher Training Institue.

Only need to refresh one or two subjects? You can choose to attend specific days and/or weekends as needed.
